Frequently Asked Questions
How does payment work?

ShayShay Logistics drivers are independent contractors (1099). Pay is issued weekly, with competitive and consistent rates. You will complete a W-9 as part of onboarding.

Can I use my own vehicle?

Yes. Couriers drive their own vehicle, providing a valid driver license, vehicle registration, and proof of auto insurance. Carriers operate under their own DOT/MC authority with their own equipment.

Can I choose my own schedule?

Yes. We offer flexible scheduling: full-time, part-time, weekends only, or fully flexible. You tell us your availability when you apply.

Do I need previous experience?

No prior experience is required. You will need a valid driver license and a reliable vehicle, and our dispatch team provides support and guidance every step of the way.

Am I an employee or an independent contractor?

You are an independent contractor (1099), treated as a valued partner, with the flexibility that comes with contractor status.

Do I need HIPAA or medical certification?

Only if you want medical or lab routes. HIPAA and OSHA certifications are optional, but having them qualifies you for additional route types. You can note your certifications on the application.

How long does onboarding take?

The application takes about 10-15 minutes for couriers and 15-20 minutes for carriers. After you submit, our team reviews your information and follows up with the next steps.

What areas do you serve?

We focus on local and regional routes designed around your service area. You tell us the area or areas you cover when you apply, and we match you with routes that fit.
